Why I've been MIA

I'm not even sure where or how to begin this post. Maybe I shouldn't even try but oh well...
Some time ago I mentioned my dad being sick again. Well, on Feb. 11 I took a late flight out of NY and went to Richmond VA where my dad was hospitalized at MCV. He had a kidney transplant there a little over 3 years ago. I won't even try to fill you in on any details, his diagnosis changed every day it seemed. But, there came a point where my family, my mom and brothers and I, had to make a decision to let him go. After moving him to a Palliative care unit, 2 days later on Feb. 26 he passed away with my mom and I sitting by his side.
There's so much I could say about the man my dad was, but I'll save it for later. I know he loved me, and in the last conversation we had I told him I loved him. He was tired, and sick, and was calling out for us to let him go, for Jesus to take him home.
I'm back in NY now, thinking and praying for my mom everyday.

Oh Desiree! I knew he was doing poorly but didn't realize it was so serious. I am so sorry, my friend, for your loss. SO thankful he is with his Savior. Am praying for your mom right now.
